On Tuesday, Sept. 6, hundreds of thousands of CPS students attended school, kicking off the 2011-12 school year. At KCP, there was a bittersweet mood amongst students to start the new school year. Many KCP seniors had great first days, while most freshmen where still attempting to adapt to the rigorous, fast-paced lifestyle that high school can bring.
Senior Demarco Diggs said, “Well I am very excited to be a senior this year. My first day of school was great.”
Other students such as Senior Deann Montgomery said that “It was boring because the teachers were boring but I’m a a Senior! I’m so outta here!”
Overall, the first day of school at KCP was just like any other first day: long, boring, and back to reality.

this is a good post because this author knows exactly what the first day of school is like.
I agree with this article. The first day of school was good because you got to see your friends, but besides that it’s back to reality. -__-
This was a great news letter!!!! All of the details and adjectives were great. The first day of school is actually how the writer describes it!
im a freshman
It was fun actually and i am a transfer student
I ‘m a Sophomore and i agree. The first day of school was kinda boring. But it was fun getting to see my friends from last year, but unfortunately i hardly have any classes with them. There is nothing good to look forward to for sophomore year.
I ‘m a Sophomore and I agree with what this writer is saying about the school setting being boring. You don’t have that same feeling of newness of high school, because you are already familiar with the whole setting. The first day of school was kind of boring, but it was fun getting to see my friends from last year. Unfortunately, I hardly have any classes with them. However, this year i look forward to it being an exciting year because i plan on becoming more actively involved in extra curricular activities.
I highly agree to the fact that it was boring, and too bad I’m just a sophomore but its okay. I hope it gets better as the year progresses.
I also believe the only reason some students were excited for school to start back is for social matters. So good article, I can definitly relate.
