Jaguar Essence In Action at their performance at home comming on September 7, 2011 in the KCP boys gym

Dance team, Jaguar Essence will be performing in this years Mardi Gras Parade in New Orleans on this up comming February.

“This is one of the most important performances we have as a team, because it gives us a chance to show off our skills to more than our school but nation wide” says Captain Jaylin Brown, ’12.

Being able to attend this trip to perform and battle is costly. To prepare themselves for the trip along with practing, Jaguar Essence fund raise to support their case. They have to pay for buses hotel rooms and food.

Spanish 3 and Astronomy teacher Ms. Ashlea Monti will be chaperoning an “Educational Tours” trip to Costa Rica during the spring break of 2012. This trip is set to be nine days of visiting various tourist attractions and participating in various activities in Costa Rica.

The purpose of this trip will be allowing students to experience hispanic cultures by spending a couple of days in a hispanic country and being exposed to its many customs. This trip should be a wonderful experience for students who would like to take a step out of their environment and view another country.

“This trip is important because when students travel outside of their neighborhoods and countries, they are able to see the world first-hand, instead of reading about it in books,” said Ms. Ashlea Monti.
